Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

PosterOnTV ("PosterOnTV", "we", "us") is provided by PosterOnTV, a business based in Milton, Ontario, Canada. Contact: support@posterontv.com.

Terms of Service

1. The service

PosterOnTV lets you upload images and videos ("content") and show them on TVs and displays ("screens") that you connect to your account. You need your own screen, a web browser or compatible streaming device, and an internet connection.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract on behalf of yourself or your organization. Keep your password private; you're responsible for activity in your account, including by staff you share it with.

3. Plans, billing and cancellation

• Free package: 1 screen and 3 slides, with a small PosterOnTV mark on the screen.
• Paid packages (Starter, Duo, Team, Business, Chain) are billed monthly or yearly, in advance, through Stripe. Each package includes the number of screens and slides shown on our pricing page. Prices are in US dollars before applicable taxes.
• Add-ons (such as custom design, template packs or player devices) are separate purchases as described when you order them.
• Paid packages may start with a free trial; if you don't cancel before it ends, the package is charged automatically.
• You can cancel at any time. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for; we don't give partial refunds for unused time, except where the law requires it.
• If a payment fails, your screens keep playing for 7 days. After that, the account continues on the Free package: screens keep playing with the PosterOnTV mark, and you can't add screens or slides beyond the Free limits until you upgrade again.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. Changes apply from your next billing period.

4. Your content

You keep all rights to your content. You give us permission to store, copy and display it only to provide the service to you. You promise that you have the right to use everything you upload (for example photos, logos, music in videos) and that it doesn't break any law.

You may not use PosterOnTV to show content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, violent or harassing, that infringes someone else's rights, or that is misleading advertising. We may remove such content or suspend an account that breaks these rules.

5. Availability

We work hard to keep PosterOnTV running and screens playing, including when the internet drops, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. You install and operate your own screens and devices; they depend on your hardware, power and internet connection. PosterOnTV does not provide on-site installation.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, PosterOnTV is not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost sales) and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Ontario consumer protection law that can't be waived.

7. Ending the service

You may delete your content and screens at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may close accounts that break these terms. If we ever stop the service, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and refund any prepaid time not used.

8. Changes and law

We may update these terms; we'll post the new date here and email you about important changes. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you are a consumer, you may also have rights under the laws of your own country that these terms do not take away.

Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account: your email address, business name and a securely hashed password.
• Content: the images and videos you upload, and your screen names, playlists and schedules.
• Screens: when each screen last connected, so we can show "Playing" or "Offline".
• Enquiries: the name, company, email, country and message you send through our contact form.
• Payments: handled by Stripe. We receive your subscription status and number of screens; we never see or store your full card number.
• Technical: IP addresses and basic request logs, used briefly for security (for example, to block repeated login attempts).

How we use it

Only to run PosterOnTV: to show your content on your screens, manage your account and plan, answer your questions, send service emails (welcome, password reset, payment problems) and keep the service secure. We send marketing emails only if you've agreed, and every one has an unsubscribe link.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information. We use these service providers to run PosterOnTV: Cloudflare (hosting and storage), Stripe (payments) and Resend (email). Their servers may be outside Canada, including in the United States.

Your content is shown on your screens

Each uploaded file gets a long random web address so your screens can download it. Anyone who has that exact address could view the file, so don't upload private or confidential information.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and content while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your content and personal information within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax or legal reasons.

Your choices

You can see and change your information in your account, and you can ask us for a copy, a correction or deletion by emailing support@posterontv.com.
